Welcome
Through a diversity of services, SECOM addresses the connectivity of problems that keep people trapped in a poverty maze. SECOM's overarching direction, "Helping today, building hope for tomorrow" is a reflection of a broader approach. By feeding the poor SECOM is helping today and through its family education and health programs SECOM gives individuals skills and knowledge that can help to build hope for tomorrow.
Compassion
Poverty victimizes people without discrimination. People of all races and colors with no regard to age or gender are afflicted by it. No country is safe from poverty. No person is immune from it. Poverty makes us all vulnerable to its effects.
SECOM seeks to reduce poverty locally through its Hunger Relief, Family Education and Health programs.
We can transform the world by helping our brothers and sisters that are in need.
"I was hungry and you fed me. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison and you visited me. I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters you were doing it to me!"
Matthew 26:35, 36, 40
