Our Community Garden supports our commitment to proper nutrition and offers opportunities for Neighbors to engage in the planting/tending/ harvesting process. Located next door to our building, the garden holds over twenty beds. While SECOM uses some of these beds to source produce for our Market & Pantry, a large portion of the beds are available for rent each spring. We provide education, water, seeds, and tools to our neighbors in the hopes that the knowledge and supplies will empower them to grow food for their own tables.
We don't simply want to provide for them, but rather work hand-in-hand with our neighbors to grow the tools they need to become advocates in their own communities.
