Internship Opportunities

The Market at SECOM Internship
SECOM Resource Center is looking for an intern to help in our Market. This position will assist with daily Market operations, expand marketing for The Market, support the Market Resource Coordinator with required reporting, and be involved in the long-term Sustainability planning for the Market at SECOM. The hours will range from 8 to 12 per week; this is a semester-long internship (~3 months). Ideally, this candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Community Resource Specialist Internship (Apply for Spring 2025!)
SECOM Resource Center seeks an innovative and energetic intern to help in our pantry/market. This position will assist with referrals for neighbors, one-on-one neighbor case assistance, and developing relationships with local organizations. The hours will range from 12 to 20 per week; this is a semester-long internship (~3 months). Ideally, this candidate is bilingual (Spanish/English).

Garden Assistant (Apply for Spring 2025!)
This temporary position​ focused on expanding and maintaining the Community Garden during the summer. The GA would help with garden maintenance, facilitate groups volunteering in the garden, spread awareness of the Garden, and harvest produce for the Market and pantry. The Market Services Coordinator who oversees the Garden will supervise.

Education Internship
This position varies depending on the time of year. Options for student teaching and observation hours are available. Please contact us for more information.
