We know it's not easy for everyone to come to SECOM Healthy Food Pantry in person. This is why we're launching our Home Delivery Program! If you live in the 49507 zip code and you have a disability that impacts your ability to come to the pantry, you may be eligible. Frequently asked questions about the Home Delivery Program

​1. Am I eligible for home delivery?
​You are eligible for delivery if the following statements are true:

a) I am eligible for SECOM Healthy Food Pantry. Learn more about eligibility at our Healthy Food Pantry page.
b) I live in the 49507 zip code.
c) I have a disability that prevents me from leaving my house.
d) I am NOT eligible for Meals on Wheels. If you are 60 years old or older, you may be eligible. Learn more at their 
website.

2. I am not eligible for home delivery but I have transportation issues. How can I get my food?
If you don't have transportation the following options may help:

a) Another person can pick your food up for you with written or verbal consent. You can either give the person a signed note or give your consent over the phone. Please make sure the person has all the information required as described on our ​Healthy Food Pantry page.
b) HealthNet is an organization that provides temporary transportation to food pantries within Kent County. To learn more about their transportation services visit their website or call (616) 632-1015.
c) If you are 60+ years old, you might be eligible for Meals on Wheels. To learn more about their services visit their website or call (616) 459-3111.

3. When will food be delivered?
Food will be delivered to your doorstep the first Thursday of every month at a scheduled time. 

4. What kind of food will be delivered?
Your food box will include healthy foods in every food group. If you have any dietary restrictions please note them on your application so we can accomodate to your needs.

5. How do I apply?
Apply online or in person at 1545 Buchanan Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49507. If you need help with your application, please email [email protected] or call (616)452-7684 ext 3. The program has a limited capacity and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that the first delivery day for this program will be on April 4th, 2024.
