Mission
Our mission at SECOM Resource Center is to give help and hope to our neighbors by empowering families to achieve their full potential through healthy living, education and economic opportunities

Vision
Helping Today, Building Hope for Tomorrow

History
SECOM began in 1971 as an outreach ministry of four area churches to meet the needs of the surrounding neighborhood, particularly in the area of hunger and food insecurity. In 1993, SECOM became an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Future
SECOM continues to be a cornerstone of support in our community — providing help today and building hope for tomorrow. We're proud to serve as a key resource center offering equitable access to food, education, and economic opportunities that empower low-income children and families to thrive.
We're excited to announce our move to 751 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507, where we'll continue our fight against inequitable food systems in partnership with local churches, neighbors, and community organizations.
Together, we're building a stronger, healthier, and more connected Grand Rapids — one neighbor at a time.
