Service Learning at SECOM

What is Service Learning?

Through service learning, young people—from kindergarteners to college students—use what they learn in the classroom to solve real-life problems. They not only learn the practical applications of their studies, they become actively contributing citizens and community members through the service they perform.

Service Learning at SECOM

SECOM is proud to partner with local educational institutions to provide service learning and skills based volunteer opportunities for students of all ages.  Current partnerships include:
  • Calvin College School of Nursing: Students provide blood pressure and blood sugar screenings for SECOM Neighbors.
  • Cornerstone University School of Social Work: Students help in food pantry to provide assistance for our neighbors.
SECOM can help you fulfill your service learning needs in a variety of areas, including health, early childhood education, and diversity.  For more information, fill out the form to the right.
