The Access Walk for Good Food is an annual 5k walk through downtown Grand Rapids. This year’s Walk will fund 12 non-profit organizations addressing root issues of food access and poverty. The work of these organizations aligns with the Good Food definition: food that is healthy, fair, affordable, and green. This work includes community gardening, nutrition programs, food pantries, meal programs, food justice and community development initiatives. Will you join us in growing a good food system for all? Click on the broccoli to take you SECOM Resource Center's Walk for Good Food team page to register to walk, volunteer donate or do all three to support us!
The funds raised from the Walk for Good Food go to support the community garden at SECOM. It supports our partnership with Urban Roots and will allow us to hire a Garden Manager for the 2020 gardening season.
